Booking Conditions

Effective: January 1, 2026

These Booking Conditions apply to all travel arrangements made with Slow Transport Journeys. Please read carefully before booking.

1. Making a Booking

1.1 A booking is made when you accept our written itinerary proposal and pay the required deposit.

1.2 The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and have authority to accept these conditions on behalf of all travelers in the party.

1.3 By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Booking Conditions and our Terms of Service.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 Deposit: 30% of total cost due upon booking confirmation

2.2 Final Payment: Remaining 70% due 60 days before departure date

2.3 Late Bookings: If booking within 60 days of departure, full payment is required immediately

2.4 Payment Methods: Bank transfer (preferred), credit card (3% processing fee applies), or other methods as agreed

2.5 Currency: All prices quoted in Euros (EUR) unless otherwise stated

4.1 Prices are based on costs known at time of quote. We reserve the right to adjust prices if:

9. Health and Fitness

9.1 You must inform us of any medical conditions, disabilities, or special requirements at time of booking.

9.2 You must be sufficiently fit to undertake the journey, including managing luggage on trains and platforms.

9.3 We'll make reasonable accommodations but cannot guarantee accessibility on all older trains and stations.

10. Passports, Visas, and Health Requirements

11. During Your Journey

11.1 You must comply with laws and regulations of countries visited.

11.2 Railway operators' conditions of carriage apply to all train travel.

11.3 We reserve the right to terminate your journey if your behavior endangers others or is unacceptable.

12. Complaints Procedure

12.1 Report problems immediately to our 24/7 support so we can address them during your journey.

12.2 Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days of journey completion.

12.3 We aim to resolve complaints within 28 days of receipt.

13. Our Responsibility

13.1 We arrange your booking with care and skill.

13.2 We are responsible for proper booking of services specified in your itinerary.

Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy and Swiss/EU data protection law.

15. Governing Law

These conditions are governed by Swiss law. Disputes are subject to jurisdiction of Zürich, Switzerland courts.
