How do I book a journey? +

Visit our booking page or contact us directly. We'll discuss your interests, timeline, and preferences, then design a custom itinerary or match you to one of our existing routes. Once you approve the itinerary, we handle all bookings and send you complete documentation.

What's included in the price? +

All train tickets and reservations, accommodations, route documentation, 24/7 support during your journey, select meals (typically breakfast and some dinners), museum passes for major sites, and carbon offsetting. Not included: most lunches and dinners, personal expenses, travel insurance.

Can I customize a route? +

Absolutely. Our published routes are templates. We regularly customize durations, add or remove stops, adjust pace, and incorporate special interests. Custom itineraries incur a small planning fee but offer complete flexibility.

Do I need to speak foreign languages? +

No. English works on most European trains and in hotels. Our documentation includes key phrases for each country, and our 24/7 support can help with language barriers. That said, attempting local languages—even badly—is part of travel's pleasure.

What if my train is delayed or cancelled? +

Contact our support team immediately. We'll rebook you on alternative trains, adjust hotel reservations if needed, and ensure you reach your destination. Delays are rare on European trains but do happen—we handle the logistics while you stay calm.

Are these group tours or independent travel? +

Independent travel with support. You travel alone or with your chosen companions, following itineraries we've designed and booked. No tour groups, no group departures. This is self-paced exploration with expert planning and backup.

Is train travel suitable for families with children? +

Yes! Trains offer space to move around, dining cars for meals, and scenery that keeps children engaged. We can design family-friendly routes with shorter travel days, child-appropriate activities, and accommodations with family rooms.

What about accessibility? +

Most modern European trains have wheelchair accessibility, though older trains and stations vary. Contact us early in planning so we can design routes using accessible infrastructure and arrange necessary assistance at stations.

How far in advance should I book? +

3-6 months for most routes. Night trains and popular summer dates book up early. We can sometimes arrange shorter notice bookings, but early planning gives you better train times and accommodation options.

What's your cancellation policy? +

See our detailed cancellation policy. Brief version: Full refund minus admin fee if cancelled 60+ days before departure. Partial refunds 30-59 days out. Within 30 days, refunds depend on what we can recover from train and hotel cancellations. We strongly recommend travel insurance.
